der tog in velkhn ikh bin geboyrn gevorn, iz mir a'riber thi geveyn. Yeder tog nokh'her hot mir ufgeklert di si'be derfun....(s'iz faran farvos tsu veynen)

the proverb actually means
The day that I was born in, I passed by wailing. Every day that passed, from that day on, made it clearer to me the reason for that..... (there is what to cry about)

translated to Hebrew
היום בו נולדתי עברתי בבכי. כל יום שעבר, התבהר לי את הסיבה לכך.... (כלומר, יש על מה לבכות)
